Eric Robinson tied the game at 1-1 midway through the second period when he netted his second goal of the campaign on a wrist shot from just below the left faceoff dot.

“The first 10 minutes of the game might have been the best we’ve played all year. We had four or five grade A chances, the power play looked good, we hit a post, their kid made a couple of big saves, it could have easily been three or four-nothing after that.

“We knew the kind of game we were going to see and we saw it. They came real hard at us and we had to hang on in the end. We bend but don’t break, and that’s what we did at the end of the night.”

“I skated through the neutral zone, got over the blue line and tried to use the defensemen as a screen. I was fortunate to get some good wood on it and put it by the keeper.”
