POTSDAM, N.Y.-SUNY Potsdam men’s hockey player Vinny Caligiuri (Shoreham, N.Y./Hartford Wolfpack) has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference’s Rookie of the Week.
Caligiuri recorded his first three collegiate points in the Bears’ weekend sweep of SUNY Canton. At home on Friday, he scored a goal and assisted on another in the Bears 5-3 win. On Saturdayin Canton, he scored the game-winning goal in Potsdam’s 6-1 drubbing of the Kangaroos.
The Bears are off until Friday, Dec. 6 when they head to Oswego State to take on the Lakers at 7 p.m.
