Matson, a sophomore majoring in health and wellness, had a breakout weekend with four points in two games. The defenseman tallied a pair of assists in a 6-3 victory on Friday, and then netted goal and an assist in a 2-2 tie on Saturday. Matson entered the weekend with one goal and five assists in in her previous 35 career games.

Quattro, a junior transfer goalie majoring in biology, stood tall in her first collegiate action, posting a 1.25 goals against average and a .951 save percentage in two appearances. Quattro stopped all eight shots she faced in relief during Friday’s 6-3 win, and then turned aside 31 of 33 shots faced in her first career start in Saturday’s 2-2 tie.

Buffalo State will take an extended break for the holidays and return to action in the New Year when it hosts William Smith on Jan. 9.
