PHILADELPHIA—Buffalo State continued its perfect start to the season, improving to 6-0 with a 3-1 victory over host Neumann tonight, completing the two-game ECAC West weekend sweep.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Bri Carroll (Peoria, AZ/Virtual Academy) tallied her fourth of the season on the power play, and Maddie Toczek (N. Tonawanda/Starpoint) pushed the lead to 2-0 with just 23 seconds left in the opening period.
Erin Gehen’s (West Seneca, NY/W. Seneca West) sixth goal of the season extended the Bengals advantage as the lone marker in the middle frame.
Neumann broke the shutout on the power play with just 58 seconds remaining in the game, but it proved to be too little, too late.
Viivi Vaattovaara (Veikkola, Finland) chipped in a pair of assists for Buffalo State.
Neumann outshot Buffalo State, 20-19, and Justine Silva (Baldwin Park, CA/Arroyo) finished with 19 stops for the win.

FOR THE FOES
Justina Mayr made 16 stops for the Knights and Lauren Cusack scored her first goal of the season.
