FREDONIA, N.Y.—No. 13 Buffalo State scored a second-period goal to even the score and earned a 1-1 draw at Fredonia in a SUNYAC contest tonight at Steele Hall Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Latrell Charleson (Surrey, BC/Delview) was assessed a five minute major and game misconduct for checking from behind just three minutes into the game, and Fredonia took advantage with an early power-play goal to take a 1-0 lead.
The Bengals pulled even with a power-play goal of their own early in the second period as Jake Rosen (E. Amherst, NY/Williamsville North) netted his first of the season from Brody Power (Toronto, ON/Upper Canada College) and Taylor Pryce (Newmarket, ON/Cardinal Carter).
The goaltenders would take over from there with neither team scoring again despite the teams combining for 86 shots (43 apiece) for the game.
Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling, NY/Pawling) posted 42 saves for the Bengals.

FOR THE FOES
Marcus Ortiz scored for Fredonia, and Eric Bogart made 42 stops.

NOTEWORTHY
Buffalo State and Fredonia earned one point each in the season-long Battle by the Lake competition between the two schools. The Blue Devils currently lead, 10-3.
