The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its weekly honors Tuesday afternoon, and Brockport ice hockey forward Mitchell Parsons was selected as rookie of the week.
Parsons had a big weekend for the Green and Gold, tallying a goal and an assists in Brockport’s come from behind win over SUNY Potsdam Friday Night. Parsons has been a key contributor for the Golden Eagles this season as he leads the team in points after six games (3g-3a-6pts). The freshman forward has been paired on a line with Captain Connor Hutchins(2g-4a-6pts) and fellow freshman Jordan Renaud(2g-1a-3pts), the trio has combined for 15 points this season.
The Golden Eagles are back in action Saturday, Nov. 17 when they take on Hamilton College with puck drop set for 7 p.m.
