BUFFALO, N.Y.—Buffalo State gave nationally No. 3-ranked Plattsburgh all it could handle, but the visiting Cardinals escaped with a 1-0 victory in a SUNYAC contest tonight at the Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cardinals netted the game’s only goal midway through the first period on a rebound, and neither team would score again despite five power-play chances by Plattsburgh and six by Buffalo State.
Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling, NY/Pawling) stood tall in goal for the Bengals, stopping 30 of the 31 shots he faced.

FOR THE FOES
Spencer Finney made 24 saves in goal for the shutout for Plattsburgh.
Michael Radisa was the goal scorer with an assist from Brandon O’Quinn.
