Beauts vs Team China

The Buffalo Beauts of the National Women’s Hockey League will take on Team China at 5:30 p.m. today (Monday, Oct. 9) in Buffalo’s HarborCenter.

This season the Beauts have several New York-born players on their roster including Julia DiTondo, a goalie from Buffalo who played her college career with Mercyhurst; Katherine Donohue, a forward also from Mercyhurst and who was raised in Rochester; Lewiston’s Maddie Elia, a forward who played at Boston University; Jacquie Greco, in her second year as a Beaut forward/defensive player and a graduate of Syracuse.

Also Hilton’s Jordan Ott who made her mark in Rochester and SUNY Potsdam as a forward and Hayley Scamurra, who made her mark in the Beaut’s playoffs last season. Hayley is a native of Getzville and played her college hockey at Northeastern.

Heading up the Beauts is Co-Head Coaches Ric Seiling and Craig Muni, both former Buffalo Sabres and joining them this season as goalie coach is former Sabre Tom Draper. Also assisting is Cory Mickey, as a goalie coach.
