BUFFALO, N.Y. (August 15, 2018) — The Buffalo Beauts today announced the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Blake Bolden.

Bolden (5’7”, 3/10/1991) most recently played in the NWHL for the Boston Pride from 2015 to 2017 and recorded 15 points (2+13) in 35 games played during those two seasons. She has also added two goals and two assists in six career Isobel Cup Playoff contests and was a member of the Boston team that captured the first ever Isobel Cup in 2016.

Last season, the two-time NWHL All-Star played for HC Lugano in the Swiss Women’s Hockey League. In her only season in Switzerland, Bolden led her team’s defensemen and ranked fourth overall with 27 points (16+11) in 20 games played.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Bolden played collegiately at Boston College, where she ranks among the school’s top 10 defensemen in career goals (T-2nd, 26), assists (5th, 56) and points (5th, 82). During her tenure with the Eagles, she was named an AHCA Second-Team All-American and Hockey East’s Best Defenseman in 2013, and garnered Hockey East First All-Star Team honors in 2012 and 2013.
