POTSDAM, N.Y.-Three SUNY Potsdam women’s hockey players earned Eastern College Athletic Conference West Honor Roll recognition after a weekend sweep at Neumann University. Senior assistant captain Abby Tardelli (Potsdam, N.Y./North Country Ice Storm), sophomore forward Anna-Rose Bertin (Marathon, Ontario/Canadian International Hockey Academy) and freshman forward Jenna Patterson (Boissevain, Manitoba/Westman Wildcats) all played key rolls in the Bears’ two victories over the Knights.

Tardelli posted a 2.50 goals-against-average and a .900 save percentage in the two games. On Friday, she stopped 23 shots in Potsdam’s 7-2 win. She followed it up with a 27-save performance in the Bears’ 5-3 victory on Saturday. The goaltender is 8-12-2 this season with a .903 save percentage and a 2.77 goals-against-average.

Bertin had a four-point weekend to help keep Potsdam’s playoff hopes alive. She had a power-play goal and an assist in game one. She then scored two goals, including another power-play goal, in the finale. Bertin is third on the team in scoring this season with seven goals and six assists for 13 points.

Patterson had the best weekend of her young career at Neumann. The freshman scored a goal and recorded an assist in Friday’s 7-2 win. She then tacked on two goals, including the game-winner in Saturday’s 5-3 victory. Patterson has nine points on five goals and four assists in her first year with Potsdam.

The Bears host Chatham University for two critical conference contests this weekend. The Cougars invade Maxcy Ice Arena at 8 p.m. on Friday night and again at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
