WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point hockey team had a trio of players earn weekly Atlantic Hockey awards led by Eric Butte, who was tabbed as player of the week.

In addition to Butte’s accolades, Thomas Farrell was named the league’s defensive player of the week and Lincoln Hatten earned rookie of the week honors.

Butte finished the 4-0 week for the Black Knights with six points on four goals and two assists with points in all four games. He scored two gamewinners during the week including an OT tally against Bentley on Friday night with a minute left. Two of his goals came on the power play and he added a shorthanded goal against Sacred Heart. He recorded his first career multi-goal game with the two tallies in Army’s 3-1 win on the road at Sacred Heart on Feb. 8.

Hatten’s lone goal came on the power play in Army’s 2-1 overtime win against Sacred Heart last Tuesday. He had a pair of multi-assist games during the week and finished at +4.

Farrell ended the week with four points on two goals and two assists and recorded his first multi-goal game of his career with a pair of tallies in Army’s 5-1 win over Bentley on Saturday night. He added an assist against Sacred Heart last Monday night and then recorded another versus Bentley in Friday night’s overtime victory. Farrell was a +2 on the week and blocked five shots.
