WEST POINT, N.Y. – With the cancellation of the first-round game between Holy Cross and Sacred Heart due to the Crusaders pausing team activities, the second-seeded Army West Point hockey team will be taking on the third-seeded Pioneers in the Atlantic Hockey Tournament Quarterfinals at Tate Rink.

The quarterfinals are a best-of-three series set for March 12-14, with the winner moving onto the semifinals on March 19. The times of each quarterfinal game will be announced at a later date.

The Black Knights had a 3-0-1 record against Sacred Heart this year with Army earning the extra league point after winning the shootout on Jan. 30. The Black Knights are undefeated against the Pioneers on their home ice with a pair of 2-1 victories, including one in overtime in the last meeting on Feb. 9.

Army ended the regular season with a two-game sweep of LIU and concluded the AHA season with 30 points in the standings thanks to a 10-4-1-1 mark. The Black Knights caught fire late in the season with a 12-game league unbeaten streak that dates back to Jan. 7.

Fan attendance will not be open to the public for the AHA Tournament at Tate Rink. All games will be live on FloHockey.tv and the Army Sports Network on TuneIn.
