ALBANY, NY – The American Hockey League has announced the 2016-17 Albany Devils schedule. The team will play all 38 home games at Times Union Center, including the Home Opener on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 5:00 pm against the St. John’s IceCaps. The Devils begin the road portion of their schedule against the Providence Bruins the night before on Friday, Oct. 14 at 7:05 pm at Dunkin Donuts Center.

Twenty-five of the Devils’ home games will be played during the weekend: 11 Friday outings, 11 Saturday outings and three Sunday matches. Start times at Times Union Center include 7:00 pm puck drops for all midweek games and Friday contests with the exception of a 1:00 pm puck drop on Presidents’ Day (Feb. 20). Besides a 1 pm start on Feb. 18, all Saturday fixtures are slated for 5:00 pm starts. The team’s Sunday contests will begin at 3:00 pm.

The longest homestands come during two four-game stints between Feb. 15-20 and Apr. 1-7. The team will participate in a season-long six-game road trip between Feb. 24-Mar. 11. The Devils’ Wednesday, Nov. 2 game at Bridgeport will begin at 11 am and Albany’s Saturday, Dec. 17 contest at Toronto will be played at 1:30 pm at Air Canada Centre – home of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Under the league’s scheduling matrix, the Devils will face North Division opponents (Binghamton, Rochester, St. John’s, Syracuse and Utica) eight times each.
