Sabres Sign Reinhart To Two-Year Deal

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Sabres announced the team has signed forward Sam Reinhart to a two-year contract with an average annual value of $3.65 million.

Reinhart (6’1”, 192 lbs., 11/6/1995) established new career highs in games played (82), goals (25), points (50), power-play goals (12) and power-play points (21) during his third full professional season in 2017-18. In his last 38 games of the campaign, the forward recorded 37 points (18+19), and his 20 goals in the 2018 calendar year tied him for 12th in the NHL.

Selected by Buffalo with the second overall pick of the 2014 NHL Draft, Reinhart has recorded 140 points (65+75) in 249 career NHL contests. The West Vancouver, British Columbia native represented Canada at the 2014 and 2015 IIHF World Junior Championships and won a gold medal at the 2015 tournament, where he was named to the All-Star Team after tying for the tournament lead in scoring. He also helped Canada capture gold at the 2016 IIHF World Championship.
