Beauts To Host US Women’s National U18 Team With Exhibition Contest

BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo Beauts, fresh off a 4-3 overtime win in Boston vs. the Pride, will host the U.S. Women’s National Under-18 Hockey Team during an exhibition at HARBORCENTER on January 5th at 5:00 PM.

Admission is just $5 and will benefit the NWHL Foundation. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Those who can’t make it will be able to see the game on NWHL Cross-Ice pass.

The U.S. Women’s National Under-18 Hockey Team has been holding training camp at HARBORCENTER for the upcoming 2016 IIHF Under-18 Women’s World Championship, which takes place in St. Catharines, Ontario, beginning Friday, January 8th.

USA Hockey’s Director of Women’s Hockey Reagan Carey will be available for media interviews prior to the scrimmage, at 4:00 PM, along with Team USA Head Coach Joel Johnson and select players. Buffalo Beauts Co-Coach, Shelley Looney, will also be available along with select players. Looney is a two-time Olympic medalist (Gold-1998; Silver-2002) who played on the U.S. Women’s National Team for 14 seasons.
