PLYMOUTH, Mich. – Forty-eight of the top American hockey players born in 2000 have been invited to USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program Evaluation Camp it was announced today by team officials. The camp, which will help select the 2016-17 U.S. National Under-17 Team, will take place March 18-22, at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan.

The 48 players, including 17 defensemen, 26 forwards and five goaltenders, will be divided into two teams. The squads will participate in on-ice practices and off-ice training, as well as five games.
NTDP alumnus Blake Geoffrion (Brentwood, Tenn./2004-06) will join Josh Pauls (Greenbrook, N.J.), a two-time gold medalist for Team USA at the 2010 and 2014 Paralympic Winter Games, and Lt. Col. of the Marine Corps, Sean Braziel, as guest coaches during the camp.
Notes
The 48 players on the 2016 National Team Development Program Evaluation Camp roster represent 17 different states. Minnesota leads the way with 11 natives on the roster, while Michigan is second with seven. Illinois boasts five players and Massachusetts is next with four.
