Utica Women’s Hockey Ranked 10th In D3hockey.com Rankings

UTICA, NY- The Utica College women’s hockey team moved up to No. 10 in the latest D3hockey.com national rankings, released Monday. The Pioneers also remained in the “receiving votes” category of the USCHO.com poll.

UC picked up 10 points in the d3hockey.com poll and six votes in the USCHO.com poll, just eight behind tenth ranked Castleton State. Utica is currently 15-5-1 on the year and 11-2-1 in the ECAC West. Four of the Pioneers’ five losses this season have come to teams currently ranked eighth or higher in both national polls.

The Pioneers face a tough test this weekend as they host unanimous No. 1 ranked Plattsburgh State in ECAC West action. Saturday’s game will be at 7 p.m. with Sunday’s face off at 3 p.m.
