The Watertown Wolves are happy to announce that Vladimir Port has agreed to re-sign with the team for next season. Port joins the Wolves for his 2nd season in the Federal Prospects Hockey League. Port quickly became a fan favorite during his first year and is ready to make a run for the Commissioners Cup this season.

“I’m very excited to be coming back to the Wolves this season,” Port said.  “Last year was a great experience but it was unfortunately cut short.”  Port posted some good numbers last season having played in 47 games and scoring 2 goals with 16 big assists for a total of 18 points. However, it’s Port’s hockey knowledge that makes him an important key to the Wolves’ success. “I’m excited to see the new structure of the team and what Coach Clarke has been building. It’s going to be a good year in Watertown.”

Wolves Owner Andreas Johansson praised Port on his return. “We are glad to have Port back here in Watertown. It was a priority. He is the perfect fit for what we are looking on and off the ice.” Andreas continued, “He is another part of the core of the defense and he is strong and has great hockey sense.”

Port will be looked to as a leader this year in the Wolves’ defensive strategy as the team works toward winning a third championship.
