US Tops Korea For Fifth Straight Win at 2018 Men’s World Championships

HERNING, Denmark – Patrick Kane (Buffalo, N.Y.) and Charlie McAvoy (Long Beach, N.Y.) each registered five points and 15 others added at least one point as the 2018 U.S. Men’s National Team earned a 13-1 victory over Korea in preliminary round play of the 2018 International Ice Hockey Federation Men’s World Championship.

“We saw contributions from all four lines tonight and now find ourselves in a good spot after five games,” said Jeff Blashill, head coach of the 2018 U.S. Men’s National Team. “The most important game is the next one, so we’ll look to continue improving as we get set for Norway.”

The United States (3-2-0-0/W-OTW-OTL-L) is back in acton Sunday (May 13) when it takes on Norway. Puck drop is set for 4:15 p.m. local time (10:15 a.m. ET) live on NHL Network.
