ITHACA, N.Y. – Cornell senior forward Lauriane Rougeau completed her four year-career at Cornell last weekend, but Rougeau earned another honor in her tremendous college tenure when she was named a Second Team All-American late Thursday.

Brianne Jenner earned recognition at an even higher level, claiming a First-Team All-America nod in the same year where she was named the ECAC Hockey and Ivy League Player of the Year.

Rougeau’s award was the fourth consecutive Second Team All-America honor of her career. Jenner, meanwhile, picks up an All-America trophy for the first time in her career.

In the last four years, Doug Derraugh‘s squad has gone from having no All-Americans to seeing five different players combine for 12 All-America mentions. Besides Rougeau and Jenner, senior Laura Fortino earned three First Team All-America awards in her four years at Cornell. Catherine White ’12 was a Second-Team All-American in 2010, and Rebecca Johnston ’12 won First Team honors in 2012 and Second Team honors in 2009 and 2011.

Rougeau and Jenner were the only players this season to earn the honors as members of the Ivy League and ECAC Hockey.

Rougeau, Jenner, Fortino and Rebecca Johnston ’12 will all be competing for their home country at the IIHF World Championship in Ottawa early next month.
