POTSDAM, N.Y.—SUNY Potsdam ice hockey player Jon Hall (Dexter,
N.Y./Stouffville Spirit) has been named the State University of New York
Athletic Conference’s Goalie of the Week after two impressive starts
against ranked opponents to open the season.

Hall started the weekend with a 35-save effort in 4-2 loss to No. 9 SUNY
Plattsburgh on Friday. The junior followed it up with one of the finest
performances of his career, recording a career-high 53 saves in a 5-4
upset of No. 15 Hobart College on Saturday night. The victory ended
Potsdam’s eight-game (0-7-1) winless streak against the Statesmen. His 88
saves for the weekend were 20 more than any other SUNYAC goalie and give
him a .917 save percentage for the young season.

The Bears are back in action on Friday, when they head to SUNY Geneseo to
take on the fourth-ranked Ice Knights. On Saturday, Potsdam travels to
Brockport for a 7 p.m. showdown with the Golden Eagles.
