LET’S LIVE BETTER WITH SHANNAN AND MICHELLE APRIL 4 TO JUNE 12 One in four Australian children is obese by the time they turn 18. The health crisis has motivated The Biggest Loser personal trainers to take on their biggest challenge yet – turn Australian children into the world’s healthiest eaters. This year, Shannan and Michelle will continue their work as ambassadors for Let’s Live Better, an exciting community initiative that will take the healthy living message to more than 300 schools across Australia. Let’s Live Better is a program from Colonial First State Global Asset Management (CFSGAM) shopping centres in partnership with the Children’s Food Education Foundation (CFEF) aimed at educating children about food choices to promote a healthier lifestyle. Shannan and Michelle will visit two lucky schools as part of the campaign to serve up healthy canteen food and challenge students to their exciting aerobics lesson. Their healthy living messages will also be beamed into schools across the country as they vie to win a $40,000 Canteen Rescue. The campaign is aimed at educating children about the healthy foods that should go into their shopping trolley each week and encouraging them to share this knowledge with their parents and other family members.

CANTEEN RESCUE Let’s Live Better is giving Australian schools the chance to win one of two $40,000 Canteen Rescues simply by shopping at participating CFSGAM shopping centres. Every dollar spent at participating CFSGAM shopping centres from April 4 – June 12 will earn your school one point. And every fresh food purchase will earn schools double points. The winning schools will each receive a canteen makeover featuring a Solar Sunwerx package and two Thermomix kitchen miracles. A television talk-show favourite and regular on the Nine Network’s Kitchen Wiz program, Chef Laurent has been enlisted to help make over the menus of the two Canteen Rescue winning schools. Together with Kay Richardson from CFEF, the menus of two winning schools will be revamped with a focus on fresh, healthy produce. The CFEF is an Australian charity creating and delivering innovative food education programs for children and young people. Chef Laurent has won awards for his innovative school canteen program at St John’s College on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, making him an expert when it comes to re-designing school lunch menus!

Shannan and Michelle are set to spread the Let’s Live Better message at Hyperdome Shopping Centre on Saturday, May 28!
