Senior Victoria Klimek is the College Hockey America Player of the Week after scoring all three goals for the Orange in a weekend series at Penn State. The Orangeville, Ontario native scored the lone goal in Syracuse’s 2-1 loss on Saturday and both goals in the 2-2 overtime tie on Sunday. Klimek started the scoring in both games, scoring eight minutes into the first game and tallying a pair of goals within six minutes of each other to give the Orange a 2-0 lead in the second game.

Klimek, who has scored at least two goals in a game three times in her career, is the first Syracuse player to score in back-to-back games since Jessica DiGirolamo in 2018. In 2020-21, Klimek leads the team with six points, including four goals and two assists.

Klimek’s goal on Saturday was unassisted, and on Sunday, Anna Leschyshyn and Tatum Whiteassisted on the first goal on a power play, and DiGirolamo and Sarah Thompson recorded the assists on the second score.

Syracuse will host Penn State in their second CHA series of the season in Syracuse on Friday, Dec. 11 (7 pm) and Saturday, Dec 12 (3 pm). Both games will be streamed on Cuse.com.
