The Buffalo Jr. Sabres are happy to congratulate 16U player Luke Tuch on his commitment to Boston University.

Tuch is completing his first season with the Jr. Sabres after spending nine years with the Syracuse Nationals organization. The forward credited the influence and guidance of his brother, Alex Tuch of the Vegas Golden Knights, for his path in hockey and switch to Buffalo.

“I love being in Buffalo,” said Tuch. “The city is great and this organization is amazing. Kevyn Adams has done a great job here and I could not have asked for a better development opportunity”

After leaving his family and hometown of Syracuse to move to Buffalo, all his hard work and dedication paid off when Tuch announced his commitment to Boston University on Jan. 15.

“I am very humbled,” said Tuch. “I worked hard to get to this point and a lot of people have helped me along the way. I am so happy I get to be a part of a great college.”

Luke’s brother Alex, who is a Boston College alum, was excited to hear of his brother’s plans to move to Boston, but Luke noted there will definitely be a rivalry in the family.

In addition to his brother, Tuch wanted to thank his parents for their continued support and guidance along the way. He also wanted to thank his twin sister, Leah, for giving up a lot of her childhood to watch him play and always supporting him.
