ISLANDERS DRAFT PARTY PASSES AVAILABLE WEDNESDAY

UNIONDALE, NY (June 4, 2013) – The New York Islanders announced today that passes for the 2013 Draft Party will become available to the general public on Wednesday, June 5 at 9:30 a.m.  Fans can print their passes online vianewyorkislanders.com. The Draft Party is scheduled for Sunday, June 30 at Nassau Coliseum.

There is an eight-ticket limit per individual. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. and the live stream of the NHL Draft, will begin at 3 p.m.

The live telecast of the NHL Draft will broadcast throughout the party, with exclusive interviews provided by IslandersTV with Hockey Operations executives and each Islanders’ draft pick.  IslandersTV will also provide behind the scenes footage, specially put together for Islanders fans.

Islanders forwards Matt Martin and Eric Boulton, defenseman Matt Carkner, the team’s official mascot Sparky and members of the Ice Girls will all attend the Draft Party, signing autographs and taking pictures with the loyal Islanders faithful.

The Draft Party will once again play host to the Islanders annual year-end blowout merchandise sale.  One of a kind items, such as game used equipment from your favorite members of the Orange and Blue, 2013 playoff memorabilia and specially priced team merchandise are just some of the available items. The Islanders Team Store, located next to the Nassau Coliseum Box Office, will feature additional sales and specials.

Interactive activities on the Nassau Coliseum event floor will include locker room tours, street hockey contests, Islanders Community Events (I.C.E.) Tour interactive games and a Ferris wheel ride. The popular Hockey Hall of Fame exhibit will also return to the Draft Party, featuring historic jerseys, sticks and skates used by NHL legends.

Prior to and during the 2013 Draft Party, The American Red Cross will host a blood drive. Fans can donate blood in the Coliseum’s exhibition hall anytime between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on draft day.  Donors will receive two free tickets to a select Islanders home game during the 2013-14 regular season.
