The National Heart Foundation of Australia has announced that a national Go Red for Women Roadshow will travel to all states and the ACT to help increase awareness of heart disease as the number one killer of Australian women.
Go Red for Women is the Heart Foundation’s annual campaign to raise awareness of heart disease as the number one killer of Australian women. As part of this year’s campaign, the inaugural Go Red for Women Roadshow will visit mostly AMP Shopping Centres across Australia from 21 May through to 16 July and engage women in a wide range of activities.
Featuring hourly cooking demonstrations, inspiring guest speakers, exercise routines and the chance to win some fantastic prizes the Roadshow will aim to raise awareness of women’s heart health challenges.
Attendees will also have the chance to learn how to prepare and cook nutritious and healthy meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert featuring tick approved products.
The month of June is Go Red for Women month with everyone urged to wear red and help encourage the women in their lives to reduce their risk of heart disease.
The Roadshow will be hitting Belconnen Shopping Centre on Saturday 16th of July from 10am – 2pm.
