SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Buffalo State freshman goalkeeper Bri Gawronski (Dunkirk, NY/Mt. Mercy) has been selected the Northeast Women’s Hockey League’s Rookie of the Week.
Gawronski, a biology major, earned her first collegiate win in her first start, filling in for an injured Justine Silva, making 25 saves in a 2-1 victory at Oswego on Sunday.
Buffalo State will return to action with a pair of league games at Cortland this Friday and Saturday.
