Adirondack’s James Henry Named ECHL Player of the Month

PRINCETON, NJ – Adirondack Thunder forward James Henry has been named the CCM ECHL Player of the Month for October.

Henry scored two goals, assisted on 15 others and was a +9 in nine games during October, helping the Thunder to a 7-2-0 record in the opening month of the ECHL season.

The 27-year-old had at least one point in each of his nine games during the month, including six multi-point games. Twice during the month, he posted three assists in a game – in a 4-3 win at Brampton on Oct. 21 and in a 5-1 victory over Newfoundland on Oct. 30.

A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Henry leads the league in assists and points and is tied for second in plus-minus.

Henry has posted 226 points (73g-153a) in 328 career ECHL games with Adirondack and Stockton.

Prior to turning pro, Henry tallied 22 points (8g-14a) in 28 games with the University of Manitoba in the 2012-13 season and recorded 214 points (72g-142a) in 309 career games in the Western Hockey League with Vancouver and Moose Jaw from 2006-12.
