DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference West (ECAC West) recognized two members of the Oswego State women’s ice hockey for the week ending on Nov. 22, 2015. Mariah Madrigal was named the Goalie of the Week while Brianna McFall earned Rookie of the Week accolades.

Madrigal had a career weekend earning a shutout in both games against Potsdam on the road. In the first outing, the Brownstown, Mich. native stopped 31 shots, tying a career high. Madrigal continued to impress stopping all 25 of the Bears’ shots the following day. The sophomore goalie has now gone 169:21 without letting in a goal for the Lakers.

Freshman defender Brianna McFall not only helped contribute to the week’s two shutouts, but also did her part offensively. The Falconer, N.Y. native had a career-high three points in Friday’s 4-0 win, collecting two goals and assisting on another. McFall currently leads all first years in total points.

Women’s ice hockey straps on the skates again at 2 p.m. on Tuesday as it travels to Hamilton College to take on the Continentals.
