Sukhman Nahal will be a solid addition to the Stampede defense for the upcoming season.

“I had a chance to not only watch Sukhman during the Hamilton college camp last month but I was also able to speak with him for a bit after one of his sessions. He carries himself very well both on and off the ice and has a plan for his future.” stated Stampede coach Mike Beavis.

Nahal from Arlington, VA. has speant time over the past few seasons with Hampton Roads in the USPHL as well as the Wooster Oilers (MNJHL now NA3HL), Philadelphia Revolution and most recently the Potomac Patirots in the USPHL. “He’s a solid defenseman that will win his battles and sees the ice well. I was impressed with his first pass and ability to move the puck up ice.” added Beavis

Nahal, the 1997 5′ 11″ 175 lb player has just the qualities that the Stampede are looking for in their players for the 2016-2017 season. When asked to describe himself Nahal replies, “I am a versatile and speedy defenseman who enjoys playing with energy and grit. My goal is to become a solid collegiate two-way defenseman after playing juniors. I belive that working hard and smart both on and off the ice will help achieve my hockey dream as well my educational goals.” Nahal has an interest in real estate and aspires to become a prominent investing figure and philanthropist in the future.

The Stampede will enter this season with a bit more talent than last season. “It will be tough to replace our captain, Manny Rowe as well as some of our other players from last season. Role players such as Dan Buehler and Kelsey Head are sure to be missed but I feel that we have added skill and depth to our line-up and are looking at about a 25-30% increase from where we were a year ago.” states Beavis. The Stampede feel very comfortable with the players they have added in the off season and feel they will be solid in goal as well as on the offensive side of the puck. They feel that the defenseman they have added are all very good players but look to fill 1-2 more spots on the blueline before the start of the season.
